PCOMP Final: Second Playtest
During our second playtest, we were able to give participants a much more realistic test of the escape room—they were given on-screen instructions to find the light, the oxygen tank, and find their way out of the cave. Additionally, this time they were practicing with the real interactive floor, and we added a timer element (only one person escaped within the time limit.)
A few notes we took:
-The floor was too close to the projection—people needed to lean back to fully see the graphics
-Sometimes the instruction text gets hidden in the environment.
-People didn’t pay attention to the timer, but needed more time to escape
